The best digital storytelling platforms
Digital storytelling proves to be a growing trend, as reading moves from a static action to an interactive, dynamic process where the lines between the author and reader are blurred. There are some great platforms out there - here are the best of the best.
Google’s Cultural Institute has launched a new segment “Books for Mandela” which enables readers to interact with the books he read during his time in prison, explore notes that his supporters wrote for him, and in turn gain a more personal insight into his life.
The simply titled, “A duck has an adventure” combines gaming and digital storytelling. The reader is presented with an array of choices which will determine which path the story takes - a great example of how the reader can become the author, determining the outcome of the story.
“Findery” is a smart social media storytelling platform which maps a user’s image with their story - it’s a small active community, sharing memories and life experiences.
Others worth checking out are “Draw a stickman” and “Gravitation”.
